Homes4Animals.com
is a free public web site for anyone wanting to view animals available
for adoption, find lost pets, or post an ad for an animal needing a new
home. We currently serve the area in and around Nelson, British Columbia,
Canada.
If you wish to post an ad, please send
a complete description of the animal - name, age, breed, personality,
does it get along with other dogs/cats/children, special needs, reason
for advertising, where the animal is currently, and your phone and email
information, and MOST IMPORTANT: a jpg image.
Please
note: we do not post ads for animals for sale.

Do you
love animals? Do you have room in your heart and home to help?
Community
Animal Assistance Program (CAAP) is a small group of local volunteers
providing a range of assistance to support pet owners and homeless
animals.
Our services
include provision of temporary care for pets (at times of family
emergency, unexpected move or health crisis), permanent re-homing
and adoption, pet care counseling and spay/neuter services. To
date, we have helped over 450 pets* from Nelson, Castlegar, Trail,
Salmo, Fruitvale and surrounding communities. (* CAAP has helped
re-home 122 cats and 144 dogs, and has facilitated spay/neuter
of over 200 cats and dogs since the fall of 2007. All of this
has been accomplished with dedicated and experienced volunteers).
We are currently
looking for volunteers to provide foster care in their own homes.
At any given time, we have litters of kittens, adult cats, puppies
or dogs requiring temporary, safe care. Both short-term and long-term
placements are needed.

CAAP ADOPTION FEES
dogs: $125
puppies: $150
cats and kittens: $100
(includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations,
de-worming. Some pets may have their adoption fee waived under
special arrangement.)
If the pet
is listed as a "Private Adoption", there is no adoption
fee charged.
